Has anyone figured out a GOOD way to use CQ to baste?  I have several requests for this information but haven't come up with a good method.

Do you mean to baste for hand quilting?
I baste all the time with the CQ. But not for hand quilters, just across the top and down the sides etc.

I would think for hand quilters a huge meander quilted with a slowed needle speed might work. I haven't tried it but theoretically, it should work. You could size it to fill the full Y and then use stretch to make it nice and wide.

The only downfall I can see that might happen, if you get your needle speed too slow, it might not be able to make the rotation out of the quilt quick enough. You'd have to experiment with the speed of the needle and head.
