Choosing settings for receiving forum posts and blogs from CQ.

Hi Folks: We’ve been working to improve the website to make it easier to navigate.  I have set up everyone to automatically receive copies of posts to each of the three categories below.  Here are instructions to change them to your preferences.

 Log in to the website.  Click on "My Profile" on the right side bar, at the top of that page click on "Notifications".   Then choose "Content Type".  Put a check in the box to the left of each choice that you want to subscribe to.  If you click in that box again, the check will be removed.  The choices are:

1. Blog Entry     -  Get notified of each blog entry.
2. Forum Topic  -  Notices of new forum topics or comments.
3. Update         -  This is how we will notify users of new software updates, upgrades and manuals.  This will replace the mass e-mails we used to send out.  

Choosing how often you recieve messages is easy too.  Click on the down arrow under “Send interval” beside the word "Immediate".  Options include:

1. Never            -  Never send a notice.
2. Immediately  -  All post notifications are sent immediately.
3. Every Hour    -  Recieve notices hourly.
4. Twice a Day  -  Notices are sent out every 12 hours.
5. Daily             -  This is the Daily Digest much like Yahoo! Groups.
6. Weekly         -  A Weekly Digest similar to Yahoo! Groups.

If you choose not to receive update notices (number 3 in first group) or select Never send a notice (number 1 in second group), then it will be your responsibility to periodically go to the website to see if there are new updates available for your CompuQuilter.

There are 3 ways the website can send notices.  You will need to leave the “send method” selection to Mail in order to receive notice.  This will send an email to the address assigned to your account.  Please keep this address up to date so you get the notifications.

If you did not receive a copy of this post in an e-mail, you may have one of two problems.  One is that you are not registered on our website.  The other is that your server may have us tagged as spammers.
